Ref: 20 846 Your New Job Title: Marketing Manager – Foodservice and Trade The Skills You’ll Need: Marketing experience in Food / FMCG industry, with Excellent spoken and written English Salary: 45- 50k depending on experience benefits Reports To: Head of Marketing Job status: Permanent Location: East London Summary: Based in London, the Foodservice Marketing Manager works within marketing team and reports to the Head of Marketing at Europe office. This role is to plan and implement foodservice and trade marketing initiatives to provide effective brand and marketing support for sustainable business growth and driving demand for products across the region. This position requires a highly proactive individual with solid knowledge and hands-on experience in the foodservice trade, preferably having worked in foodservice or catering business. The candidates must also have a genuine interest in Chinese food culture, food and cooking.

Your Key Responsibilities: Develop insight driven marketing strategy and plan for foodservice and related trade development across Europe, and translate into actionable propositions to increase brand awareness and market share. Design and drive marketing campaigns and programmes in foodservice and catering trade. Define, validate and track core KPIs to meet the business targets. Manage agencies to ensure successful delivery of the marketing initiatives.

Plan, organize, and implement foodservice and trade shows, events, chef seminars and product demonstrations. Optimize and manage brand owned digital foodservice platforms (website and social media), lead and drive content creation with the help of internal functions and consultant chefs. Manage customers/end-users database through CRM tools. Strategize and implement media buying for foodservice and trade channels.

Plan and develop foodservice trade POP, marketing literature and product catalogues. Build strong relationship with trade professionals, master chefs and influencers. Keep up with the trends, needs and opportunities within the trade to identify and drive new business opportunities through new product development, communication strategies or channel development. Monitor brand coverage & competitors intelligence in trade & mass media/platforms related to foodservice industry.

The Skills You’ll Need to Succeed: Excellent English language skills – in both written and spoken English Solid experience with strong foodservice marketing background. Work experience in out-of-home, foodservice, catering business, B2B preferably. Educated in Hospitality Management, Communication or Marketing degree level or equivalent a definite advantage. Highly sensitive to trends and ability to identify opportunities for brand growth.

Know-how in CRM systems, Google Analytics, PPC and SEO management, etc a definite advantage. Other European language skills will be beneficial. Mandarin/Cantonese skill is a definite advantage but not a must. Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills.

Has a genuine interest and understanding in Chinese food culture, foodie and a keen cook are definite advantage. Good social skills and be able to build business network and relationships. Ability to think strategically and tactically. Good problem-solver and able to multi-task effectively, organized and attention to details.

Highly self-motivated and resilient, able to work under pressure, flexible. Must be a team player and assist colleagues across departments when required. Happy to travel when required occasionally inside and outside of UK for meetings and events. Please view all our Chinese jobs at www.
