Assistant Risk Manager (Fluent Cantonese)

Up to 60,000 plus bonus and benefits Hybrid working available. A great opportunity has arisen within a rapidly expanding Central London international bank for an Assistant Risk Manager. You will be responsible for managing the team in assisting the Head of the Risk Management Department to discharge her duties as the Risk Controller, by performing the 2nd Line of Defence functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate recent, relevant experience of operating and managing within a control environment with all round risk experience (operational, market, liquidity and interest rate risk), ideally gained within an international banking environment.

Duties to include: Key contact to the Head of the Risk Management Department in reporting and performing 2nd LoD functions. Implementing the risk management framework and promoting the risk management culture and awareness of regulatory requirements within the branch. Liaising with 3rd parties, regulators and audit with regard to risk management issues. Monitoring risk to ensure adherence to risk policies and framework and regulatory guidelines, reviewing and updating policies where necessary.

Producing risk reports for senior management and management committees. Supporting your team to engage with Risk Owners in identifying, assessing and reporting risk. Leading, developing and motivating your team, managing resource deployment and monitoring performance. Assisting the Head of the Risk Management Department with assignments in their absence.

Requirements for the role: Fluent Cantonese language skills are essential. Educated to degree level, or with relevant professional qualifications. CeMap qualification preferred. Strong all-round risk experience (including operational, market, liquidity and interest rate risk).
