Assistant Risk Manager (Fluent Cantonese)

A great opportunity has arisen within a rapidly expanding Central London international bank for an Assistant Risk Manager. The ideal candidate will have an strong all-round risk background, and will act as a key contact within the UK operations and Head Office with Risk Management handling – in particular 2nd LoD, reporting and relevant issues related to non-credit risks. Duties to include: Key contact between the UK branch and Head Office on Risk Management handling and reporting and performing 2nd LoD functions Implementing the risk management framework and promoting the risk management culture and awareness of regulatory requirements within the branch Liaising with 3rd parties, regulators and audit with regard to risk management issues Monitoring risk to ensure adherence to risk policies and framework and regulatory guidelines, reviewing and updating policies where necessary Producing risk reports for senior management and management committees Supporting your team to engage with Risk Owners in identifying, assessing and reporting risk Leading, developing and motivating your team, managing resource deployment and monitoring performance. Educated to degree level, or the equivalent, applicants will demonstrate recent, relevant experience of operating and managing within a control environment with all round risk experience (operational, market, liquidity and interest rate risk), ideally gained within an international banking environment.

Applicants will demonstrate an understanding of the current regulatory regime applicable to banking institutions and will have had experience of operating in compliance with risk policies and procedures.
