Assistant manager (accountancy practice)

We are looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified and experienced individual to work in the tax and accounts department, working on producing accounts, primarily in FRS105 format, as well as company tax returns and personal tax returns. You will be newly qualified ACCA/ACA accountant or someone with demonstrable experience within a similar accounting environment. A second language in Mandarin or Cantonese would be an advantage. Duties & Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the role are varied and will include overseeing the following: Limited company accounts preparation Corporation and personal tax return preparation Assisting with tax planning Communicating and corresponding with clients Communicating with HMRC Training junior staff Assisting in the billing of clients Attendance at networking events Liaising with specialist departments in the Firm Other ad hoc duties in line with the role In addition the individual must demonstrate the following: Excellent organisational and communication skills The ability to work independently and be able to take responsibility for own work Excellent attention to detail The ability to work calmly under pressure and be able to prioritise own time A good knowledge of limited company accounts and the issues affecting small limited companies Be a strong team player We would also expect the suitable candidate to have a good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word packages.

It would be desirable for the candidate to have knowledge/experience of AP accounting software as well as Digita, Alphatax and ProAudit, although training will be provided where necessary. My client can offer flexible working, hybrid working policy plus excellent benefits
